Reason For Stop Payment:

You must provide a reason for requesting the Stop Payment. The Chestnut Run FCU (Credit Union) cannot process a Stop Payment without this information. A fee of $20.00 per Stop Payment request will appear on your statement. This Stop Payment Request will remain valid for 14 days. A written Stop Payment Order Request Form will be mailed to you or you may print, sign and fax or mail this form to us. Once received by the Credit Union, this will serve as your written Stop Payment Order Request Form. Once signed by you and returned to the Credit Union at P. O. Box 5037, Wilmington, DE 19808-0037 or faxed to the Credit Union at (302) 999-4889, the Stop Payment Request will be effective for six (6) months from the day it is received, unless it is renewed in writing. This stop payment request is binding upon the Credit Union only if it accurately states the exact information requested above, and it is received by the Credit Union in sufficient time to give the Credit Union a reasonable opportunity to act upon it. By submitting this Stop Payment Request, you agree to indemnify and hold the Credit Union harmless from all expenses and costs which it incurs due to its compliance with this Request. The Credit Union is not liable for checks already processed or if the check information you have entered is incorrect.
